Home Moisture Lab provides educational estimates based on values entered by the user. Results are not a building inspection, laboratory test, engineering design, mold assessment, medical opinion or guarantee that condensation or damage will or will not occur.

Input quality

Results depend on the accuracy and location of temperature, humidity and surface-temperature readings. Estimated surface temperatures use simplified assumptions described in the methodology.

Use of results

Use the calculator as a comparison and measurement-planning aid. Persistent leaks, damaged materials, visible growth or safety-critical building conditions should be investigated using appropriate professional expertise.

The service may change as calculation methods, browser support or hosting systems are improved.
